I Issued 17 Buy Alerts in 2025. Here Are The Results (Hint: We Beat The S&P 500)
Most gurus delete their bad calls. I publish mine. From a +74% gain on Google to a -32% loss on CAVA, here is the honest breakdown of every buy alert I made this year.
In the financial industry, transparency is rare.
You usually see screenshots of 500% gains, but you never see the losses. You see the “victory laps,” but you never hear about the trades that went sideways.
My goal isn’t to be perfect. My goal is to build a sustainable “Income Engine” that funds our lives, and to share the real-time moves I make to get there. Sometimes we nail the bottom. Sometimes we catch a falling knife. As I’ve laid out many times, I utilize a ton of different income positions. However, I take the dividends from these positions and roll them into stocks that I believe have the potential to deliver attractive total returns.
This strategy has allowed me to consistently outperform the S&P 500.
As we close out 2025, I want to review every single call I made this year. We are going to look at the massive winners, the frustrating losers, and the lessons we are taking into 2026.
👉 Here is the scorecard of my buy ratings below. For greater details of each call, please keep reading!

Buy Alerts & Performance
I’ve compiled all of the buy alerts based on timing. However, I will start with the buy alerts that were at least six months ago. When I issue a buy alert, the thesis may take a few quarters to materialize into gains. I think it’s unreasonable to expect a stock to rapidly rise as soon as I issue a buy alert.
👉 For reference, the S&P 500 is up about 17% at the time of this writing.
April 24th, 2025 - ASML Holdings
I published an analysis on ASML Holdings ASML 0.00%↑ and provided a detailed thesis on why I was accumulating. ASML is essentially selling the picks and shovels of the AI expansion.
👉 ASML Holdings: total return of 57.16% since buy alert
April 27th, 2025 - Simon Property Group
I published an article highlighting the recent earnings strength of a REIT that lets you collect income from the malls across the U.S. The REIT was Simon Property Group SPG 0.00%↑. Following this article, I stated I was adding to my position here as I think SPG was aligned to outperform.
👉 SPG’s total return (including dividends) amounts to 22.5% since my article.
May 13th, 2025 - Columbia Seligman Premium Technology Growth Fund
This was an article dedicated to an income fund that pays out a 7% dividend yield, while providing exposure to the highest quality technology companies in the world. Columbia Seligman Premium Technology Growth Fund STK 0.00%↑ was trading at a massive discount at the time and I recognized this opportunity to accumulate.
👉 STK’s total return now sits around 30.5%. Not bad for 7 months.
June 28th, 2025 - Alphabet
I initiated a buy alert on Alphabet GOOG 0.00%↑ despite fears about Google Search losing to ChatGPT. I provided a thesis on why I was adding $20,000 to this stock. Fast forward six months later and Google’s Gemini is crushing ChatGPT in user growth and capabilities.
👉 GOOG’s total return since buy alert = 74.64%.
Snapshot Summary So Far (To Be Continued)
Newer Buy Alerts - Less Than 6 Months
Now, I will provide a brief list of the holdings that I have called out in more recent months. The performance of these holdings a lot less impressive because there simply hasn’t been enough time for my research to materialize. However, I remain invested in these positions and believe that they have the potential to outperform the S&P 500 at some point in the future.
